Soul Place Gathering

May 30 - 31, 2025

About "Soul Place" Gathering

A gathering focused on place and spiritual formation using the Celtic themes of "place, pilgrimage, poetry, presence, and prophetic imagination." (adapted from Ian Bradley's book, The Celtic Way.) This will be a two-day gathering, focused on moving from a transactional social imagination to a transformational one for the flourishing of one's humanity and community. It is a gathering based on short presentations along with creative, intentional conversational formats and small groups. Join practitioners, clergy, community leaders, connectors, and others willing to spend time in "brave space", personally and corporately of deepening awareness and connection.

An invitation to the experience of connecting quickly with strangers and using this place and the arts to get clearer on what purpose is compelling to yourself, and imagining that you have the freedom to pursue its next step without all the excuses of why is it not practical.
    May 31, 2025, 9:00 AM
Seeking to be present in the body, energy field, emotions, mind, soul, spirit, and heart, as well as whatever happens to be going on in the outer world.
    May 31, 2025, 10:30 AM
The spiritual practice of Pilgrimage often leads us to "thin" places - soul places - in the world and always to the soul place within ourselves.

For Edwin Muir (Scottish poet), his 'soul place' might be his childhood home of Orkney—a pre-Industrial haven of simplicity and deep connection to land and people. This ties back to his foundational notion of Eden, a place of both blessing and curse, from which all present life and meaning flow.
    May 31, 2025, 3:00 PM
Step into a deeper vision of faith and justice. This workshop invites you to explore how the prophetic imagination can awaken the Church to new possibilities, challenge the status quo, and inspire bold, Spirit-led action in today’s world.
